About

I didn't set out to create The Sovereign Heart. I came to it by living my way towards it.

Through leadership. Through change. Through moments of uncertainty and courage. Through years of learning how people work, how organisations work and, perhaps most importantly, how we can lose touch with ourselves when we are trying to meet everything that life asks of us.

Alongside my professional life, another path was unfolding. A quieter, more intuitive path. One that taught me to listen differently.

Over time, these two worlds stopped feeling separate. They became one. The Sovereign Heart grew from that meeting place.

I am Bhavna.

I am a mentor, facilitator, creative practitioner, and space-holder. My professional background is rooted in leadership, wellbeing, people and organisational development.

I have worked with people through complexity, change, and pressure, including supporting a national children's mental health service during the extraordinary demands of the Covid years. I have managed operational administration across specialist teams and spent many years understanding what happens when people, systems, and responsibility meet.

That experience matters to me. Because the work of becoming more conscious is not something that happens away from real life.  It happens in the meeting room. In the difficult conversation. In the relationship. In the decision. In the moment when you realise that the way you have always done something can no longer continue.

The Visible and the Unseen

And there is another part of my story. Alongside leadership and organisational life, I have followed a deeply personal path of exploration.

Meditation has been part of my life since I was young. I have practised Tai Chi and Qigong for many years. I became a Reiki Master and teacher, I developed deeper through shamanism and over time, I began intuitively channeling visual yantras, sacred geometry, and structural cosmic blueprints.

I have explored NLP, energy work, mantra, and rhythmic shamanic practices, learning to work closely with subtle dimensions of human experience. and sound through instruments and voice.  My relationship with these practices has never been about collecting techniques. Each one has taught me another way of noticing. Another way of listening. Another way of experiencing myself. And another way of understanding the relationship between the visible and the unseen world.

The Mystical and the Practical Belong Together

I don't believe we need to choose between being grounded and being deeply intuitive. Between practical leadership and inner knowing. Between the everyday world and the mystery that sits beneath it.

For me, they are part of the same human experience.

This is why my work can move from a conversation about leadership into an exploration of energy, from Sacred Geometry into a practical life decision, or from creative expression into something much deeper. The method may change. The intention does not: To help create the space for something true to be seen.

Forged in Transformation

I have always been drawn to transformation. My own life has included pivotal moments that completely rewrote the direction of my path.

  • The 2008 Heartbreak: A profound personal catalyst that broke open my old identity and forced me onto a deeper path of inner healing and energetic reclamation.

  • The 2009 India Pilgrimage: A fated journey filled with mystical experiences, including a direct astral activation at the root of the Heart of Goddess, which awakened my own sense of inner sovereignty.

  • Shamanic Lineages: Returning to the UK to anchor those experiences through intensive shamanism, drum medicine, and tracking the unseen.

●      Professional Shifts: Navigating redundancy, a firewalk, leadership, leaving employment, and ultimately creating something of my own.

Each experience asked me to meet myself differently. Some were chosen. Some were not. All of them taught me something about what happens when life asks us to step beyond what is familiar.

I don't see transformation as becoming a completely different person. I see it as becoming increasingly true to yourself.

The Warrior Goddess Within Me

There is a part of my nature that is gentle. And there is another that knows exactly how to stand.

I have always recognised something of the warrior goddess within me—not as aggression, but as the fierce, compassionate energy of truth, protection, and the willingness to meet what is difficult. She reminds me that softness does not mean weakness. That compassion does not mean abandoning discernment. That love must have boundaries.

Sometimes, becoming true to yourself requires the radical courage to say: This is no longer who I am.

That steady, protective energy is part of how I hold the work. Warmly. Honestly. Without asking you to be smaller than you are.

How I Work

I don't believe in telling people who they are. I don't believe that one method, one framework, or one answer can fit everyone.

I listen. I notice. I ask questions. I work with what is present in the moment.

Sometimes the work is deeply practical. Sometimes it is intuitive. Sometimes it is energetic. Sometimes it is creative. Sometimes it is simply a conversation in which something that has been difficult to see suddenly becomes clear.

The work is responsive because you are not a formula. You bring your own history, experience, wisdom, and way of seeing. My role is not to replace your inner authority. It is to create a space where you can hear it more clearly.

What I Believe

  • I believe there is wisdom within us that becomes easier to hear when we slow down.

  • I believe awareness creates choice.

  • I believe transformation becomes meaningful when it can be lived out in reality.

  • I believe our inner and outer lives are completely connected.

  • I believe the body, heart, mind, and energetic dimensions can all be part of the conversation.

  • I believe that becoming sovereign is not about becoming separate. It is about becoming responsible for your own life while remaining deeply connected to others.

Why The Sovereign Heart?

The Sovereign Heart is the meeting place of everything I have learned.

The leader. The mentor. The creative. The practitioner. The intuitive. The woman who has walked through her own fires and changes.

None of these parts needs to disappear for another to take its place. They belong together. That, for me, is sovereignty. Wholeness rather than fragmentation. Coherence rather than performance. Becoming true to self rather than becoming who you think you should be.

If You Are Here

You may already know what door you want to enter. Or you may simply know that something in you is asking for change.

You don't need to arrive with the right words. You don't need to have it all worked out. You don't need to know which path is yours.

Start where you are. Listen to what draws your attention. And trust that the right doorway can reveal itself from there.

The Sovereign Heart is not here to tell you who to become. It is here to create space for you to discover more fully who you already are.

I look forward to meeting you there.

Ganesha Initiation

I attended a Ganesha Initiation at Bhavna's Temple of the Heart. We received an initiation and learnt about Mantra and Yantra. I discovered that it is the frequency of the mantra when chanted that helps facilitate the connection with the qualities / blessings of Ganesha. (funny how chant and enchant are very similar words as I can honestly say i felt a transformation of consciousness and the chanting certainly helped facilitate a meditative state. I hadn't previously known much about yantra and we learnt to create our own and how profound the process of connecting to the frequency of the yantra with our own intentions and then afterwards these yantra are a further focus for intention and connection to the frequency of Ganesha. It was an enlightening, informative and inspirational day, the start of deepening my connection to Ganesha who is the Lord of New Beginnings. I can highly recommend Bhavna's workshops, they are enlightening, informative and highly experiential. All the senses are activated so the initiation of frequencies are felt / sensed in a profound way. Claire Banks - Aura Energetics
